Recent developments in Blast Furnace operation, characterised by long campaign life combined with ever increasing productivity and high rates of fuel injection, require high efficiency top gas cleaning equipment to cope with the changes in top gas composition, dust loading, pressure and temperature fluctuations and match the campaign life of the furnace.
Danieli Corus offers tangential inlet cyclone designs for the first stage of dust removal. These are engineered for an approximate 85% dust removal efficiency, depending on dust composition and desired zinc recovery. The cyclones can be based on either single or dual inlets.
