Order for twin Hot Metal Desulphurization Station from JSL Ferrous Limited
Indian steel producer JSL Ferrous Limited has awarded a contract for a pair of Twin Hot Metal Desulphurization stations for their Duburi plant in Jajpur, Odisha. The project is a continuation of an earlier project, for which a contract was awarded in 2022.
Current capacity at the Duburi plant stands at around 2.2 Mtpa of crude steel, with plans for expansion towards 3.2 Mtpa in place. The Danieli Corus hot metal desulphurization technology based on co–injection of reagents is flexible and combines the abilities to perform rapid desulphurization using magnesium or deep desulphurization with lime or calcium carbide—all at low cost.
We are confident that this project will contribute to the success of JSL Ferrous Limited as a producer of specialty steels.
