Danieli Corus has a track record of more than 45 years as an engineering company and plant builder for the global steel industry. From its IJmuiden home base, Danieli Corus prepares and executes projects, ranging from technical consultancy to the construction and commissioning of entire blast furnace facilities. All technology is state-of-the-art and customized to fit client requirements. Much of the approximate 100 million Euro business volume is based in emerging economies. Danieli Corus has around 300 employees, working at offices in The Netherlands, India and China.
Within Danieli Corus, our Process Engineers are involved in our projects from the initial design phase until the commissioning of the plant. The Process Engineer analyzes a wide variety of issues with the client, elaborates solutions and implements these in close cooperation with our other engineering departments. The role of the Process Engineer is pivotal in our project execution and plant commissioning, guarantee tests and trouble shooting – as such, the Process Engineer usually spends a few weeks on site with the client. The Process Engineer contributes to Product Development, is a point of contact for both clients and suppliers and supports tender procedures.
For the execution of our greenfield and modernization projects, the Engineering Department is divided into Project Engineering and Discipline Engineering Departments such as Mechanical, Refractory and Process Engineering. The Process Engineering Department employs approximately 10 experts and is responsible for plant equipment design, contributes to technology improvement and support the Global Sales Department.
