Danieli Corus has a track record of 40 years as an engineering company and plant builder for the iron, steel and aluminium industries. Since 2000, the company has been jointly owned by Tata Steel and Italian equipment manufacturer Danieli. In 2015, the company became a wholly owned Danieli subsidiary. From its IJmuiden home base, Danieli Corus prepares and executes projects, ranging from technical consultancy to the construction and commissioning of entire blast furnace facilities. Application Manager Engineering

Job description

In this position you will be responsible for the maintenance and use of the engineering applications, both technical and functional, bridging the gap between ICT and the engineers. You will be part of the Information Management/ICT department, reporting to the Manager Information Management/ICT.

Results to be achieved in this role:

• A uniform use of engineering applications
• An optimal, stable Teamcenter back office
• A sustainable knowledge base for engineering methods and processes

Tasks you will perform:

• Support Engineering, optimization and availability of the mentioned applications, both technical and functional
• Maintain knowledge on internal processes, applications, underlying databases and connected interfaces between the applications
• Organize and/or conduct engineering applications training
• Analyze present working methods, advise improvements and run projects to implement these improvements
• Advise Engineering Management regarding new developments with regards to engineering applications/processes
• Maintain contact with external suppliers and coordinate action performed by these third parties

Requirements

• BSc level (with diploma), preferably Informatics or Mechanical Engineering
• Knowledge of Autodesk software (AutoCad, Inventor, Navisworks, Plant3D)
• Knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter or equivalent PDM system (Microsoft Vault, Dassault, etc.)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Backoffice systems (Windows server, SQL, SharePoint365)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Front office applications (Office 365 suite, etc.)
• 5 years of experience in a similar position
• Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing, in Dutch and English
• Customer/service oriented, flexible working attitude
• Analytical and result oriented
• Team player, being able to initiate and manage own task

Information Management/ICT Department

The IM/ICT Department is responsible for the optimal functioning of the technical infrastructure and business systems for the offices in The Netherlands, India and China, with 250 accounts. Danieli Corus is investing to improve the use of the engineering applications as well as the document management tool.
