Danieli Corus has a track record of 40 years as an engineering company and plant builder for the iron, steel and aluminium industries. Since 2000, the company has been jointly owned by Tata Steel and Italian equipment manufacturer Danieli. In 2015, the company became a wholly owned Danieli subsidiary. From its IJmuiden home base, Danieli Corus prepares and executes projects, ranging from technical consultancy to the construction and commissioning of entire blast furnace facilities. In this position you will be responsible for the development of modeling and reporting software for Blast Furnaces and Basic Oxygen Steelmaking Converters, also known as Level 2 Automation, resulting in a design that meets the requirements and specifications of the project. You will work in close collaboration with a team of PLC programmers, computer programmers and process engineers. Other important responsibilities are: setting up the database structure and application, creating technical documents, such as functional specifications and manuals, communicating with suppliers, quality control and progress control. Testing and commissioning requires deployment of several weeks at the client’s site abroad.
BSc diploma in Industrial Automation or Computer Engineering, supplemented with courses in the field of expertise. Expertise in client-server database applications, preferably Oracle 12c in relation with Visual Studio dotNet/C# and SQL Queries. Proven experience in a similar position, preferably within the process industry. Knowledge of project management. Team player. Good proficiency in English, both oral and in writing. Prepared to travel and work internationally. The Engineering Department is sub-divided into Process, Mechanical, Design & Drafting, Refractory and Electrical, Instrumentation & Computer Control Engineering & Automation (EIC&A). The EIC&A department consists of around 20 professionals and is responsible for the execution of the EIC&A components of our products for both proposals and projects.
